Cognitive Dissonance

Do you think that you are free?  Most Americans would still probably answer “yes” to that question, but is that really the case?

In the film Edge of Darkness, Mel Gibson stated that “everything is illegal in Massachusetts”.  Well, the same could pretty much be said for the United States as a whole.

Our lives are governed by millions of laws, rules and regulations and more are being piled on all the time.  In fact, 40,000 new laws just went into effect in January.

Every single new law restricts your freedom just a little bit more.  The truth is that America has become a crazy control freak nation where virtually everything that we do is highly regulated.  You have probably broken multiple laws today that you don’t even know exist.

We have all become criminals and lawbreakers because almost everything is illegal at this point.  Our politicians are convinced that they are “making life better” by piling gigantic mountains of laws onto our backs, and law enforcement authorities are convinced that they are helping society by “cracking down on crime”, but the reality is that our liberties and our freedoms are being strangled by all of this government oppression. 

This is not the way that America is supposed to work.

Yes, every society needs laws.  But the laws should be short enough and simple enough that everybody can read them and understand them.

In America today, there is no possible way that any of us could ever read all of the laws that apply to us.  Most of us just live our daily lives and try to do the “right” thing.  But there is no guarantee that men with guns will not show up at your door one evening because of some obscure regulation that you have broken.

The following are 19 signs that America has become a crazy control freak nation where almost everything is illegal.

#1 One California town is actually considering making it illegal to smoke in your own backyard.

#2 In Louisiana, a church was recently ordered to stop giving out water because it did not have a permit to do so.

#3 In the United States it is illegal to operate a train that does not have an “F” painted on the front.  Apparently without that “F” we all might not know where the front of the train is.

#4 In many U.S. states is it now illegal to collect rain that falls from the sky on to your own property.

#5 In America today it is illegal to milk your cow and sell the milk to your neighbor.  If you do this, there is a good chance that federal agents will raid your home at the crack of dawn.

#6 In Washington D.C. it is illegal not to recycle cat litter.

#7 It is illegal to give a tour of the monuments in Washington D.C.without a license.

#8 In the United States it is illegal to sell natural cures for cancer – even if they work.

#9 In the state of Massachusetts it is illegal to deface a milk carton.

#10 In the state of Alabama, bear wrestling is completely illegal.

#11 In Fairbanks, Alaska it is illegal to give alcoholic beverages to a moose.

#12 In Lake Elmo, Minnesota it is illegal to sell pumpkins or Christmas trees that are grown outside city limits.

#13 There is a federal law that makes it illegal to be “annoying” on the Internet.

#14 If you register with a false name on MySpace or Facebook you could potentially “spend five years in federal prison“.

#15 In Hazelwood, Missouri it is illegal for little girls to sell girl scout cookies in the front yards of their own homes.

#16 All over the United States lemonade stands run by children are being shut down because they do not have the proper permits.

#17 In Florida, it is illegal to bring a plastic butter knife to school.

#18 In San Juan Capistrano, California it is illegal to hold a home Bible study without a “conditional use permit“.

#19 In the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania it is illegal to make even a single dollar from a blog unless you buy a $300 business license.

Sadly, this list of crazy laws and ridiculous regulations could be thousands long.

We are a nation run by a bunch of control freaks who do not care about our liberties and our freedoms.

Every once in a while, John Stossel does some really great reporting.  An example of this is posted below.  In this 40-minute video, Stossel goes into great detail about how almost everything is illegal in America today.  In particular, the first 20 minutes are absolutely excellent.  If you have not seen this yet, I highly encourage you to check it out.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with a good healthy dose of skepticism, especially in today’s world of information-overkill and fear laden main stream media propaganda. Having “higher-discernment” is a must during these times, however, balancing that with healthy skepticism is pretty tricky. 

Healthy skeptical inquiry is good curiosity. I think it is very similar to “higher discernment” in that the latter has an established set of criteria thru which information is sifted. Albeit personal, one still has the ability to discern what they will believe and how they will study it.

When the student (and EVERYONE is a student) seeks an answer for his or her self knowledge and chooses which direction they will lean, that decision is usually made on the basis of repeated inquiry and duplicated evidence. We learn from repetition.

Relying on outside authoritative confirmation has not only become glaringly biased from those from which you seek it, but teaches you to follow the herd, be compliant, and never look like a trouble maker. We are all human beings questing for something – answers, truth, knowledge…etc and if we continue to rely upon those with (seemingly) higher knowledge, we will never learn to take responsibility or risk, let alone learn from our mistakes.  

If those in power are failing to depart wisdom to the “lesser individuals” because they don’t think we could “handle the truth”, then it is up to us to show THEM what it looks like to have an open mind and heart to new and challenging ideas. And if we can not do this ourselves, (due to our docile herd mentality) then we shouldn’t be pretending to play with the big dogs by challenging them at every turn and looking like the fools with infantile minds they love to think we have.

“Higher discernment” is something very unique and is relative to your personal (inner feelings) and knowledge. Skepticism is a little sharper edged, often more publicly pronounced (announced), and may become pathological if left unsupervised (by you) due to its emotional content and how it is encouraged by the aggressor. This type of pathology is commonly found in the comments section of most alternative news sources, YouTube, and others.

[path·o·log·i·cal] – “of, or relating to, or manifesting behavior that is habitual, maladaptive, and compulsive. Being such to a degree that it is extreme, excessive, or markedly abnormal.” Merriam-Webster

An excellent article on this subject written by William J. Beaty © 1996 – states in part; 

“Many members of the mainstream scientific community react with extreme hostility when presented with certain claims. This can be seen in their emotional responses to current controversies such as UFO abductions, cold fusion, crypto-zoology, psi, and numerous others. These scientists react not with pragmatism and a wish to get to the bottom of things, but instead with the same tactics religious groups use to suppress heretics: 

• hostile emotional attacks, 
• circular reasoning, 
• dehumanizing of the “enemy”
• extreme closed-mindedness, 
• intellectually dishonest reasoning,
• underhanded debating tactics, 
• negative gossip, and all manner of name-calling and character assassination.

Erecting barriers against new ideas by constantly altering the requirements for acceptance is often found in main stream science communities. (A practice called “moving the goalposts”)

Example: “I won’t believe it until major laboratories publish papers in this field. They have? Well, that means nothing! Major labs have been wrong before. I’ll believe it when stores sell products which use the effect. They do? Well, that means nothing, after all, stores sell magic healing pendants and Ouija boards. I’ll believe it when a Nobel Prize winning researcher gets behind that work. One has? Well that means nothing! That person is probably old and dotty like Dr. Pauling and his vitamin-C cures…” etc.

Belief that science is guided by consensus beliefs and majority rule, rather than by evidence has also become a favorable habit. Indulging in behavior which reinforces the negative effects of consensus beliefs while minimizing the impact of any evidence which contradicts those beliefs.

Example: “I don’t care how good your evidence is, I won’t believe it until the majority of scientists also find it acceptable, and it is announced on the news or in the NY Times. Your evidence cannot be right, because it would mean that hundreds of textbooks and thousands of learned experts are wrong.”

True skepticism is vitally important to real inquiry. Skepticism involves meticulously questioning beliefs or facts. Ideally, every scientist then is a true skeptic.

Skeptopathy, (another word for pathological skepticism) on the other hand, is not a logical rational pursuit. Pathological skepticism is the irrational belief that a theory or a piece of evidence is false merely because it is unusual, or goes against conventional wisdom, or is simply too difficult to imagine. 

Pathological skepticism then involves an irrational unsupported belief that something is untrue. Skeptopathy involves not fact and scientific rigor – but blind faith that an unpleasant notion is false, usually followed by ridicule of some kind.

“Scientists are people, after all, and subject to basic human irrationality and selfishness. Like many people, some scientists routinely engage in denial…. If reality is too difficult to face they will simply ignore it. Like many people, some scientists are largely self-serving, and despite privately acknowledging the scientific truth, they will pretend that a disturbing hypothesis is false in order to protect or further their funding, careers, or reputation. This has done much damage to our society and has caused many people great emotional suffering at the hands of a few “trusted authorities”.  (William J. Beaty)

Learning to use your OWN discernment and keeping quiet with your opinions for just a little longer before you “pounce-to-announce” will take you far in this new era of disclosure. Be a healthy skeptic, but keep a sharp eye on your compulsions. We are all entering into the realms of new and bizarre scientific discoveries, some exciting, some frightening, and some extraordinary in every respect. 

Lets give you a little test…. shall we? Watch the entire video (or rather listen to it) and observe your thoughts. I wonder if you will have a good sense of curiosity on board, or skeptopathic disregard.

Ringing Earth – Tibetan Monks in “spirit cave” hear new sounds

“There is a secret cave of spirits in Tibet. This cave is not known to the public.
The Tibetan saints are sleeping in this cave. The old men and monks are saying that it is starting to sing its mantra calling for gods to return to the Earth. This mantra has three levels. The last level means the coming of the new era.

This sound has no artificial changes and is presented in raw format (only noises were reduced). 

As some of you may know, I work with clients not only as a counselor, but using sound and vibration to help relieve the effects of stress on the body and mind. Recently, I came upon a brilliant explanation as to WHY this works, and how we actually lost our “true tones”. As I have said to many clients in many ways, “dissonance” can happen with a thought. (Not to mention the electrical “grids” criss-crossing our entire planet and invading every portion of our waking and sleeping lives.)

We are becoming more and more exhausted with less explanation as to why. I have always known from my own personal experience with extreme stress, that music can sometimes help. However, I have also understood that most “music” is tuned improperly and therefore never truly creates long-term relief. (how convenient for the “music” industry)

Many years ago I began to study the effects of frequency (binaural beats and repeated oscillations) on mood elevation and temperament. For over 11 years I have successfully treated clients using these patterns. I have written articles and taught classes on the subject of stress and the use of sound in an effort to help people understand themselves and their relationship to nature THRU sound.

And once again, I have found another amazing article on the subject.

“The non-solfeggio scale formerly known as the “lost solfeggio” scale has three different centers of higher concert pitch tuning and were used instead of one. This scale was considered “lost” because of change from Just-Intonation to the 12 tone equal temperament that has become the standard scale since the 1800s due to a need for conformity between various instruments. The total harmony of the original scale was systematically altered.

The three tuning centers used in the non-solfeggio scale formerly known as the “lost solfeggio” scale are: 441Hz  444Hz and 451Hz. 

This alleged “Lost Solfeggio” defeats the purpose of a real musical consonant solfeggio scale used for vocalists in music performance and practice.  
The tones mentioned above, create extremely dissonant intervals when used as a substitute for a solfeggio scale largely based from the indisputable fact that three tonal centers of different concert pitch are used instead of one, from which the human voice cannot find a tonal centered register for the sensation of consciousness to experience a grounded sensation of pitch consonance. Music from the beginning of antiquity was not intended as a form of entertainment and instead, was the focal point of spiritual connection.
In ancient times, schools of knowledge taught about the harmonic principals of cosmic influence upon natural systems and the development of man. It was believed that the gods or planets has a direct influence upon man.
 Man’s inner ability to inter-connect with the vibrant resonant environment has always played an integral role in the development of civilizations and role of behaviors from one type of conscious awareness to the other. 

It is well documented that the push and pull of magnetic and electromagnetic cosmic forces play an important role in the development of man and rise and fall of civilizations.

The subtle push and pull from the moon on the tides and inner waters of our bodies or the squaring or retrograde of planetary influence upon our energetic bodies can literally create a marionette of emotions in the conscious awareness of man. Most have heard of the phrase  “full moon madness” but  few understand the push and pull of apogee and perigee that moons influence plays upon consciousness and emotion, or how such influences of the planetary spheres are based on a symphony of ratio.
 Such skips and wobbles in the spiral orbits of planets can produce ultra-low electromagnetic oscillations. 

This song and dance of the cosmos can create a constant pressure on the metallic compounds of the body thus creating possible magnetic stress upon the condensed atomic structures of the body, which ultimately, can influence the emotions. Mastery of the emotions and transformation of the body’s metallic alchemy through proper sun gazing techniques and hansa yoga can assist with the stresses of transits of the planets. 

A solid music foundation based on natural spiral progressions and ratios of the planets and earth can alleviate such conditions, as a constant tug of war between artificial centers of pitch may create a dissonance relationship between nature and man, which may effect the waters of the body and ultimately, consciousness. 

Built up dissonance can create electrical stress which can be  conducted or transmitted by the nervous system and the skeleton. Bone for an example is a mineral based peizo electric transmitter/receiver that needs to discharge the built up piezoelectric charge properly to the earth. Bone is “tuned” to nature and most doctors are unfortunately taught only procedure and do not question why they use a C=256 hz (C note in concert A=432 hz) tuning fork to find bone fractures. 

How we perceive time as spirit mind force in human form is through the platonic year.  A platonic year the the time it takes for the sun to rise in the spring equinox to move through one degree every 72 years to complete one full spiral arc of 25,920 years through the zodiac. The average numbers of breaths a healthy adult takes in a 24 hour period at 18 breaths per minute x 60 minutes x 24 hours = 25,920 breaths. Certain esoteric mystery schools taught that the development of the human span of spirit is 360 x 72 = 25, 920 days, achieved through the teaching of “the fire and the bellows” breath. The Sun’s diameter and movement of Saturn is closely related to the measurement 864 (432×2) both in size and time of orbit whilst the moon is related to 216. (half 432) Our system of time keeping of an earth day was based on a 360 degree sphere with 864 thousand seconds in 24 hours 432 thousand seconds in 12 hours and 216 thosand seconds in 6 hour counts. The synchronicity between these mathematical values show up time and time again throughout antiquity and the natural world. In the Holy Book of the Upanishads/Geeta, the traditional count of brahma is 4,320 million years.

Everything is made of light, we appear to be moving at relative light speed called latency  Each dimension appears as  a trinity flash line sequence based on ratio of frequency. 
According to Bruce Cathie Light spirals at 144,000 minutes of arc per earth grid second with 432 as the square root of light. Sometime ago, I mentioned that sound and light are the same and interconnected. I based that statement purely on the amount of spiritual study on the subject.

Mainstream logic zealots may dispute this, as “textbooks” state there is no connection between mechanical sound waves and visible electromagnetic light waves, but i assure you that they have a transference nonlocal medium that encodes properties onto both mechanical and electromagnetic perception according to strong and weak forces of relative bonding and infra red transition. If they were not inter-related then NASA could not take the background electromagnetic symphony of cosmic compression waves from stars and planets and convert them to sound. Both mechanical sound pressure waves and electromagnetic light waves are only linear perception connected through interference patterns of the interactive boundary layers or nodal points of spherical intercecting  grid points that appear as scalar waves. Electrons form in the nodal interference crossroads between phase and anti phase  spheres to create the trinity of matter through the perception of dimension of frequency.

Scalar waves although linear in appearance of perception, are never absorbed by the environment and exist out of space time/time space, we perceive the visible realm as latency of the spherical interferance flash line sequence via Fibonacci dampening causing the formation of boundary layers that interfere with one another and create the illusion of particles in motion, sort of like Christmas lights flashing on and off in series creating the illusion of movement. The Fibonacci spiral series or PHI  is nature’s way of dampening infinite spherical patterns into finite boundary layers of linear inferferance of perception, otherwise the universe would just jumble all together. These dampened patterns create the illusion of particle wave spin, motion, rotation, decay, light speed(latency) and Doppler redshift. We observe only one side of a parallax view of reality classifying the universe objectively from a relativistic subjective perception of consciousness.

I truly believe in my own spiritual opinion we experience the universe as the compressed relative consciousness of the divine creator and that creation is intelligently designed as ratio. We are living in a true musical universe so it makes sense to connect with what we observe in nature.There are two tonal spirals of ratio that create harmonic overtones and undertones.
When we add unnatural forced equal temperament choices for the sensations of tone and concert pitch and using A=440 hz – A=460 hz to our daily lives, we can create the conditions of closed system disharmony and piezoelectric stress within the temple of the body and chambers of compassion in the heart which can alter the natural resonance of the morphogenetic fields of consciousness which may ultimately disconnect us us from spiritual evolution.

The Discovery Channel is refusing to show the shocking conclusions of its own documentary. 

“Frozen Planet” is a seven-part series that serves as a gripping portrait of life at the ends of the Earth, featuring stunning shots of wildlife at the North and South Poles. 

But when the series airs in the U.S. early next year, Discovery Channel is only showing six episodes: they’re refusing to air the full seventh episode, which deals exclusively with climate change and exposing its devastating effects on our planet.

Claudia Abbott-Barish, an American now living in the UK, where “Frozen Planet” is currently airing, started a Change.org petition asking the Discovery Channel to air all seven episodes of “Frozen Planet” to make sure Americans can see the truth about climate change.

The striking footage of “Frozen Planet” is not to be missed — it features never-before-seen images of penguins, polar bears, glaciers, and the great grey owl. It’s an intimate look at the ice-covered portions of our planet, made by the same people who produced the incredible “Planet Earth” series from a few years ago. Throughout the series, viewers follow stories of animals trying to survive in extreme conditions. 

But central to the story about life at the ends of the Earth is the reality of climate change. 

Some of the show was shot by a cameraman named named Dave, a friend of Claudia’s. While filming in the Arctic and Antarctica, Dave said he was stunned by the experience. He saw shrinking glaciers and melting ice right before his eyes, all while working with scientists who talked about how the devastating effects of climate change are worse than they ever feared.

Discovery Channel prides itself on revealing the mysteries and unseen worlds of our planet. Claudia thinks that by shortchanging U.S. viewers of the reality of climate change, Discovery Channel is doing a disservice to its viewers and the planet.
